I bet it hasn't hung - it sounds like the reverse DNS problem.

Try setting your POP3 server timeout to a couple of minutes. (in your
email client software).

If that does cure it then you need to make sure that you collect your
email from an IP address where the Qube knows or can find the
reverse DNS details. You'll either have to modify the hosts file or
else set up a proper reverse DNS server.

I think this has been covered a few times before....
