[cobalt-users] Sendmail Problem

Hi!

I have an RAQ3i, and till recently, everything was functioning perfectly !
However, since the past 2 weeks, almost everyday, I get a message from the
server saying that the SMTP server is not functioning !
On telnetting to the server, and doing a "ps -aux", I notice processes
similar to the following :

root      1841  0.0  0.2  2408 1408 ?        S    22:28   0:00 sendmail:
server [203.199.140.89] child wait
root      1843  0.2  0.2  2440 1480 ?        S    22:28   0:00 sendmail:
UAA01843 [203.199.140.89]: DATA
root      1849  0.0  0.2  2408 1408 ?        S    22:28   0:00 sendmail:
server [203.199.140.89] child wait
root      1850  0.2  0.2  2440 1480 ?        S    22:28   0:00 sendmail:
UAA01850 [203.199.140.89]: DATA

on killing those entries, the SMTP service starts working again !

However, after a number of hours, it happens again. Further, the IP
addresses are also not the same every time !

Any help on this would be appreciated !

Note : all other services (http / ftp / pop3 / imap etc) function without a
problem !
