No, I just typed HELP in a whois lookup with whois.networksolutions.com
2.1.6 Host
This finds records for "hosts" within the NSI registrar. This
search looks in the hostname, net-address, and domain fields.
For example, "HOST RUTGERS" finds RUTGERS.EDU, NS1.RUTGERS.EDU,
and PILOT.NJIN.NET.
2.1.8 Server
This keyword searches for the given name server (host) handle and
reports all the domains served by that name server within the
NSI registrar.
So, typing "host ns1.hardynet.net" gave me NSL1323-HST. Typing "server
NSL1323-HST" gave me a list of domains that ns1.hardynet.net is supposed to
be authoritative for. Doing a DNS lookup on ns1.hardynet.net for any of the
domains that ns1.hardynet.net is supposed to be authoritative for constantly
returns:
"Non-authoritative answer:"
followed by the DNS info, which is what led me to my original conclusion
that something is amiss in the DNS setup for ns1.hardynet.net.
Whether it's a bad PTR or something else, I don't know. I simply used the
GUI on my RaQ for DNS and it never responds "Non-authoritative answer:".
