We've had almost 50% of the fans in our Raq4's die at one time or
another. The usual "sometimes a reboot fixes it, sometimes it doesn't"
problem.
The scary thing is that the status GUI happily reports CPU temps of 68C
(154F) and tell you that all is well, with a nice green light.
Does anyone know what would trigger an overtemp alert on a Raq4? Does it
take actual flames on the processor, or just a bit of smoldering?
If a cobalt has run for an extended time with the fans out, should it be
assumed that the hardware has been cooked sufficiently to make it a
candidate for the dumpster?
