Folks,
Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, I guess I'm pretty green at some of
this.
Nell, thanks, but it has been about 4 days since I registered the domain.
And, it seemed to "trace" OK. Here is what tracert reported:
Tracing route to familyhope.net [216.229.93.214]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 129 ms 129 ms 129 ms access-9.rollanet.org [216.229.92.1]
2 120 ms 129 ms 124 ms familyhope.net [216.229.93.214]
Trace complete.
Gerald, if by the "glue" records, you mean the references to our location
host's primary and secondary name servers, then yes, I did change those at
my registrar. (They have changed that a bit as of late, haven't they? Seems
now the registrars try to "automatically" get you to use their hosting
services).
Samuel, I tried adding an address record (and I turned on the checkbox to
have it create a reverse entry) for my domain name. Didn't seem to make any
difference. Do you have an example of what entries I would have to make?
Sorry to be asking what must seem like such simple questions, and thank you
for your patience.
Best regards,
Jeff McKune
