[cobalt-users] email! help! newbie here

new cobalt/server user here...  with an email question/problem.

we set up a new raq4,  that was setup with our existing domain
(visualflux.net) but we have not yet pointed our nameservers to the raq4.
and in the testing of a domain we have (excitementinsanford.com),  have come
across a problem sending/receiving email.  we are receiving this error
message when using pine:

[Mail not sent. Sending error: 553 5.3.0 <excite@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

so i have a few questions regarding setting up a new name-based server.

1)  is there a step-by-step guide to setting up a raq4 anywhere?  the manual
seems a little lacking.

2)  in the manual it says when making the MX record to make the mail server
name "www.domain2.com,"  is this right?  so when the client sets up their
email app they use "www.domain2.com" as their smtp server.

2b)  will i run into any problems if i setup a "smtp.domain2.com" or
"mail.domain2.com" MX record for multiple name based servers?  i guess this
is really a superficial thing,  as far as setting up users email apps.

3)  HELP!!!  i don't even know what to ask (look) for to figure this out.
