Hi,
I have a client who wants Mailman installed on his RaQ4.
I have read the thread on this list found at:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=cobalt-users&m=98837454203230&w=2
I've also read the installation instructions found at:
http://www.list.org/install-system.html
The RaQ4 has Python 1.5.2 installed. So far, so good.
But in the Mailman installation instructions, the first thing they want you
to do is create a user "mailman" which belongs to group "mailman" then
create the directory /home/mailman.
The question I have at this point, (I haven't actually attempted to install
anything yet) is it OK to go in via command line and do this? Or will the
GUI barf at users not "belonging" to any virtual site? The GUI MUST remain
functional on this server! Also, is it OK to add the mailman directory in
/home? Or will the RaQ balk at this as well?
Thanks,
Paul Bentz
