Hi,
I have a weird problem...
When I do a locate on my server, I near enough always get the following
result several times...
/home/sites/site33/web/Player_Pictures/M-Deaner/Markman/Marshall/Mautone
/McDonald/McElligotusr/admserv/html/.cobalt/siteManage/www.canvey.co.uk
The bit usr/admserv/html/.cobalt/siteManage/www.canvey.co.uk is correct,
but irrespective of what I try to locate I get several entries with
/home/sites/site33/web/Player_Pictures/M-Deaner/Markman/Marshall/Mautone
/McDonald/McElligot preceding the results.
I went into the directory concerned, and discovered that beneath
/home/sites/site33/web/Player-Pictures/M-Deaner, there must have been
about 20 directories, all one beneath each other - I have since deleted
all the directories beneath and including
/home/sites/site33/web/Player-Pictures/M-Deaner.
Despite this and re-naming Player-Pictures, the directories still show
up in a locate!!!
I have run a chkroot, with no adverse results.
Any ideas?
Ian.
