I'd go for A first. B will cause as much traffic as leaving it as it is. C
is tempting. What do you have to gain from keeping him? If nothing, or
you're loosing money on him, then show him the door.
Alternative options:
1-Charge him the bandwidth incurred. This should be in your conditions in
the very first place. Legally speaking. Forward mail to his personal account
to avoid filling up /var. *
2-Find out who the spammers are. If its only a few domains who's sending him
all the junk, then block'em.
3-Ask your customer to filter out spam in his mail-client. Most clients have
options of filtering out email based on header (e.g. source-host) without
downloading them from the mailserver. Provide your customer with
instructions.
* As I was writing this email I wanted to write a small script that would
add up the sizes of emails to user x, as I assumed this is logged in
/var/log/maillog. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be. If you know of a
way, please let me know as it would be useful in general.
