If you click on the cobalt logo in the top corner of the main server admin page, there is an about option. It will indicate the mode type. (unless they installed a raq4 UI on a raq 2 or something)

For specific Identification you can use the units mac address - a unique identifier for every NIC.

The Mac ID is under Control Panel > Network Cobalt also uses this in lieu of a serial number.

it's more for covering my butt,  since i've been designated to figuring out
what/where (but definately not when) to purchase,  and am going to be the go
to guy if (when) things go wrong.  and for identification if we decide to
pull the server out of the facility at a later time.
