Hy,
i don't know exactly how to find out which system it is, but with the
informations in the files
/proc/cpuinfo
/proc/serialnumber
someone from cobalt should be able to tell you which machine it is. (We use
an serialnumber only once and put it into a database to easy identifiy every
system). I think cobalt makes it the same way, so you can ask cobalt whats
this for a machine. With the informations in /proc/cpuinfo you can see the
processor and perhaps thats enough to see if it is an Raq2,3 or 4.
I don't know if it's possible to fake the informations in /proc but i think
its a good point to start. But if you think this company will fake a server
which you want to buy, why would you like to buy the server there and not
elsewhere at a company in which you can trust in ?
Greetings
Oliver
