That's why we're never supposed to be logged in as root unless
absolutely necessary <frown>.

Most linux gurus say no.  If you turn off the system immediately, some
people say it's possible, but it's possibly a lot more work than
reinstalling.

If you mean /usr/local, it's full of important programs for the RaQ, and
the RaQs default majordomo installation.

You can probably get copies of the entire directory from someone else
with the same model system, and copy everything in... EXCEPT... the
majordomo directory.  Hopefully you've got a backup of that.
