[cobalt-users] Webalizer Permission Denied Error

Hello All.

I have a RAQ 4r that I recently upgraded to the Webalizer 1.30 package that
is on pkg.nl.cobalt.com. I used to have the original one that they had out
there (also 1.30 I think) that didn't have the security. I installed this
one as it had the security and the promise of not messing with FP as much.

This was prompted by several of my sites having problems with their stats in
which only 3 or 4 days would be available for the entire month... Reading
the archives and switching to incremental mode apparently took care of this.
Well, I thought it had... However, webalizer has now decided to cause me
problems.... I keep getting the following in my Crond Daemon log.... One
entry for each domain on the server.

sh: /home/sites/www.mydomain.com/logs/web.log: Permission denied

The only modifications I made were to /etc/webalizer.conf file to add the
incremental processing, and to add the -p option to the command line in
/etc/cron.daily/webalizer.pl. In addition I changed the size of the logs for
my smaller sites that were having the problem in their individual file
(drawing a blank on the file name this second). The only other thing that I
can think of is that I renamed webalizer.pl to awebalizer.pl in the
cron.daily section to get it to work. However, it didn't run at all that
night, so I renamed it back to webalizer.pl. However, I didn't change any
ownership or permissions on it.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
