That won't go over very well at all. Reading emails is much quicker than waiting for web pages to load - especially when 300 other people are waiting for those web pages to load as well.
I had some success with a support forum over at CobaltHosts.Com - we were getting a nice community, then I had to go and move servers and just never had time to put the forum back up. Stooopid me.

Erica you worry about yourself first and the list absolutely LAST. Please remember that you cannot please everyone - usually you can't even please most of them. There are always whiny bitches that will complain, there are always cranky cusses (like me!) who will complain, there are always self-imposed list gods who will chant the "shoulda coulda woulda" lines.
You just worry about yourself and get to the list when and if you have the time/motivation to do so.

Many of us have done these sites - rather than reinvent the wheel, why not communicate to us what you need/want done and each of us can take on a part of the project that you can help guide? That way it's less stress on you and in turn makes our little help sites more valuable to the users.
