I have also installed this patch on a RAQ4r but my raid appears to be
working fine, see below.

[root /proc]# more /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid5] [translucent] 
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md1 : active raid1 hdc1[1] hda1[0] 768000 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md3 : active raid1 hdc3[1] hda3[0] 205056 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md4 : active raid1 hdc4[1] hda4[0] 18869696 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md6 : active raid1 hdc6[1] hda6[0] 131456 blocks [2/2] [UU]
unused devices: <none>
[root /proc]# 

As you can see it is showing that the mirrored partitions are both up [UU]
try this same procedure on your RAQ4r and see if you get the same results.
