Um...how about posting a _pointer_ to the list, instead of sending the .mc
file to all of us. Most of us _really_ don't need it, since (on the RaQ3,
anyway) the .cf file generated by redhat.mc file _is_ functionally identical,
regardless what diff says. The 4's apparently use cobalt.mc instead, but I
dunno since I'm only working with a RaQ3.
(If you read through the two .cf files, you'll find some things in a
different order, but you won't find much functionally different, except for
those things that may be set in the GUI, like MaxMessageSize. Even the
comment re: Duncan Laurie ends up in a different place which confuses diff,
but it doesn't affect the operation of sendmail. A difference that doesn't
make a difference isn't a difference to anything but diff, Spiff.)
Besides, I already covered this whole thing for the Raq3's a while back -
search the archives for "sendmail configuration using m4 on a Cobalt RaQ3
(long)" (I couldn't get any additional keywords in the subject no matter how
hard I tried). Cobalt didn't make so many differences between the 3 and the 4
that it would be terribly difficult to extrapolate. But note that the folks
at Cobalt/Sun would have a canary if they knew we were out of the GUI, so
standard disclamers apply.
