I just got a call from Sun about 2 minutes ago - and apparently they do not
offer the 30 days of support where they install all the latest and greatest
software packages onto your newly purchased system for you...
So I have to be brave and install it myself.
I have THESE packages already installed from the factory:
Relational Database Server and Client tools by InterBase. Release V6.0
Cobalt OS Release 6.0
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.1-2-9847
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.1-8232
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.2-9077
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.2-9078
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.2-9353
RaQ4-All-Security Release 1.0.3-8762
RaQ4-All-System Release 1.0.1-8572
RaQ4-en-OSUpdateRelease 1.0
Third Party Disaster RecoveryRelease 1.0.2-9198
My question is: If I download everything on the updates page and put them
into the /home/updates directory, will it cause any problems or is the
package management smart enough to know where to start loading?
I just don't want to break anything, but I am anxious to get updated so I
can install SSH and stop having to enable telnet.
Thanks!
