Which one? 95 (also years ago), the last one to not require more
software/hardware than God himself? or 98 (three years ago), the last
"home-user" one doesn't try to hide everything from you? or NT, the
last client/server business platform to not require expensive machine
upgrades every few years, or W2000, which cost a fortune and will be
"dead" in another half year <frown>?

Seriously though; Konqueror seems to be the only *stable* browser option for
*nix users out there. I use it almost exclusively on my *nix machine and I
haven't had *too many problems; in fact most of the problems I get come with
sites that aren't very adherent to the HTML.40/STRICT dtd - which, in a
casual way, means it's their fault not the browser's.
I forgot to mention Opera though; they just released a linux version that
has been operating quite well from what I hear although I haven't tried it.
It is a very good alternative since it can -emulate- IE without having to
use it.
And I still say stay away from IE6 until SP1
