Can you put an access database on a raq4 and access it with the frontpage
extensions?
tony
... No.
As usual MS keep their "stuff" to themselves on this point. There are
various solutions but after much hassle I have arrived at the following that
deals with a lot of common requirements.
If it is a smallish (structure wise at least) dbase the easiest solution I
have found is to export the table/query using access to db5 format.
Depending on whether the dbase is existing / planned or under development
you need to make sure that the first 8 characters (or preferably 8 max only)
characters in the field names in access are truly unique (or it won't
convert correctly). Once saved as db5 format you can import the new format
(three files now) into you front page web to the _private folder and create
your connection from then on.
