Subject: Lost Access to Qube 2

>I was following the KnowledgeBase (posting #010608-002656) "Virtual hosting
on the Qube1/Qube2" to configure my Qube for a new domain site I'll be
hosting. Now I have no access to the Qube. I've tried access through the web
browser (IE5.5), Telnet CGI, LCD panel, Modem/Console port (per KB
#010719-000007) and Wintel HyperTerminal with no luck. Any suggestions to
get me back to my server?

>FYI after rebooting, the LCD displayed the IP 0.0.0.0 (which I recall is a
default route) yet had the correct, original config for Primary and Mask as
the Network settings on the LCD. I tried a Reset but it only resulted in the
server address "host.domain.name" being replaced by "IP Address" and the
Gateway changing to 0.0.0.0 but all of the other settings stayed the same.
And I cannot institute ANY changes via the LCD interface. Please help!

Here's an update ... I have been able to access the HD by h/u to a desktop,
but only thru an Esc boot up via the Restore CD. I have DEL the subinterface
(eth0:0 & eth0:1) files that the KB had me create. I did not change the
httpd.conf file. I did however edit one file, /etc/sysconfig/netwrok I
believe, in which case I put in my old HOSTNAME as it had been.
(NETWORKING=yes, HOSTNAME=Unknown, IPFORWARDING=false, GATEWAYIP=0.0.0.0 to
NETWORKING=yes, HOSTNAME=cq2, IPFORWARDING=false, GATEWAYIP=0.0.0.0). When I
rebooted the machine in the Q2 box the HOSTNAME had changed from "IP
Address" to "cq2" but nothing else. And LCD key inputs are still not being
accepted. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to get this machine back
up besides the restore CD (I have some important files on there that didn't
get b/u b4 it crashed)? What file controls the LCD and eth0 interfaces?
Would the Apache file have any effect here? What "init=" string would allow
me to boot directly to the HD via the desktop instead of through the CD
(I've tried init=init, initpd, & initrd)? I desperately need to get this
thing up this week. Please don't ignore me!
