I'm vaguely familiar with fetchmail ...

Would you suggest slapping an entry into cron.$whatever to schedule automatic downloading of mail?

Is the implication here that installing an rpm of something like fetchmail is not a problem on a Qube, as they are really just a strange shaped redhat box ... I guess I'm just curious as to what lengths you can go before you break the UI !
