Right, as the thread unfolded I thought we were discussing the changes made
through e-mail for older NSI accounts, which I havn't had a problem with.
These are still able to be modified through e-mail unless they've changed
something since August 12th?

As far as the newer, web based domains - anyone with the account number and
password can change these very easily. Never had a problem taking over
(modifying) any domain registered this way either. Database
updates/propagations are @ 5 am and 5 pm everyday. Usually my changes show up
the next morning if done before 5pm the day-before. So other than paying
maybe $20 more per year (I blow more than that on lunch everyday) which my
clients pay for anyways, where are the problems I see people discussing?

Like I said, *if* it's an older registration and the admin contact's e-mail is
no longer valid, sure ther are a few more hoops to jump through, but again,
when done the NSI-way these are also taken care of quickly.

If it's a new, web based domain and the account signed up for the *extras*, it
may take a few more days for the changes to take affect as it seems they first
modify the record back to NSI then modify it again to match the requested
modifications. I'm not saying that NSI is the way-to-go, but I certainly
havn't seen any problems after learning how NSI works.

Sorry to continue an OT thread...
