Since you're quoting the Bible in a previous post maybe we should talk
about accountability?
You were the one who made the post. Someone considered it spam, and
told you so. (Actually a lot of people considered it spam, but only one
told you so, at least at first.)
So instead of apologizing, you said that you were right.
So who's accountable for the fact that someone complained to your
upstream?
The someone who complained? Yes.
You? Yes.
If you really feel you were right, you shouldn't have any problem
convincing your upstream, should you? If your upstream and you disagree
on what constitutes spamming, then you should really get a new upstream,
shouldn't you?

So I'm sending this to you offlist as well.
