Hi John,
You can use IBM, Seagate or Western Digital, all of these work fine. Off
course this is only from personal experience.
If you have a HD copying soft, such as partition magic or drive image ( on a
microsoft machine ), you can just copy all the info from the original disk
to the new disk, during the copying procedure, the soft will check if your
disk contains bad parts.
