Ummm...notwithstanding that this was posted on Thursday I just got the
damned thing now.

You still can delete the first, second...any mail in the queue and here's
how:
Anyway, some general stuff:
Mail "stuck" (I assume you mean queued for delivery) can be seen by running
"mailq" from the command line.
