I think you got "shuffled off to Buffalo" by the FBI and CIA. I called my
senators(I'm what might be described as "rabidly active" with elected
officials) to verify the Secret Service thing.
Not only should you call the Secret Service, but also get your elected
reps in on it...I have in my tickle file entries to remind the staff of my
senators and representatives every month that there may be an issue. The
staffers hate to hear from me...so when I see their bosses, I always thank
them for their efforts...which I know means the boss asks the staffer.

I'm not close to my notes, but anonymizer rings a bell...I do remember
making a few phone calls to the Canadian Embassy.(g)
