I just came up with a better idea. Rather than overwriting the file,
why not make a new file - each file using a timestamp as a filename?
That way, you can archive the entries for later perusal, build a
little search function to go through them, and basically keep a
record of what's been posted.
Rather than making individual files, you could simply add the newest
data to the top of the file, and show the most recent entry (or last
3 entries, etc.).
A great way to separate entries would either be by the timestamp
itself, or by a rarely-used character, like a double pipe || -
something the person updating the entries would be likely to never
type.
