the sites are site1, site2, site3.  The www.siteone.com, www.sitetwo.com, 
etc are symbolic links to the actual sites. (Shortcuts, alias')

This is the way it works for the site administrator.  If you want others to 
work on the main site for a given url you will need to give the users 
access to it and not just their page.  I did say site administrator, not 
admin or root.
