Thanks for the info.
Although I went ahead and tried some stuff on my own before I heard from
you, the info you posted shed some light on what I thought were some pretty
weird things. I can't imagine a reason for only allowing administrator
rights on the first 32 sties.
Anyway, the new server is up and running.
