Depending on the load/volume of the server, it may or may not
behave well. Disabling webmail, installing a new kernel and
making a few other tweaks generally makes it more stable, and
less prone to the forked memory and RAID errors.

We have 5, and they're all running flawlessly for the moment.
Then again, they're really been overhauled too...

Yes, the XTRs were recalled. Cobalt was offering to swap out
two RaQ4s for an XTR at one point, but I don't know if this is
still being offered or not.

At this point they'll most likely RMA your XTRs with the new
models when they begin shipping them again.

Check with your Cobalt rep or distributor -- they'll know for
sure.

My advice is to get an OS Restore CD and stay away from the
RAID-5 configuration on the 1st gen XTRs (opt for RAID-1), as
it's inherently unstable -- and likely to fail.
