[cobalt-users] DNS situation, Any Ideas

this is with a raq4
 
I set a site up (all settings were made through the GUI) 
I created a virtual site www.domain.com  with alias 
for both the a records below
a record for  domain.com 
a record for  www.domain.com
this site was not sharing an IP address
and everything worked,
 
I could get to the site by way of domain.com  
www.domain.com and the IP address
 
then I added a user to domain.com
after that the only way I could reach the site 
was with the IP address 
 
I checked the zone files and httpd.conf and 
didn't see anything wrong 
 
I changed the IP for all records to domain.com 
with the GUI and everything went back to working
 
this has happened twice and I would like to know why
Any ideas, however far fetched, would be appreciated.
