[cobalt-users] Slow access to e-mail

Recently, local users have been complaining about slow e-mail access on our 
Qube2.  The log files show the "canonical name not found" error.

When accessing through a dial-up Internet connection, login is almost 
instantaneous.

I've tried updating /etc/hosts with IPs for the local machines, and also 
tried setting up qpopper with a -R option in inetd.conf.  The first had no 
apparent impact, and the second caused qpopper not to function.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
