I've had this problem with my RaQ3, and less often on a RaQ2 (both on
separate networks). I'm using Outlook Express that came with Windows 98, and
occasionally it (Outlook) will pop up an error message saying the password
was rejected. I have the password stored in Outlook, and it works, so it's a
glitch on the Cobalt's side. I have Outlook set to check mail every minute.
The next time Outlook checks mail, it works fine. I don't have to reboot the
Cobalt or my home computer or anything. This happens sporadically, maybe
about once every week or two.
A few of my clients report this occurring to them too. I just tell them to
check their mail again (they also have their password stored in their mail
clients) and it works for them the next time around.
Since mail checking works the next time around, I've just concluded it's one
of those "Cobalt Oddities."
