[cobalt-users] [RaQ4i] Max disk size supported by the kernel

From what I understand the 2.2 kernel that Cobalt uses was compiled to only
see a maximum physical drive capacity of 30 gigs on each IDE channel for a
grand total of 60 gigs maximum. Is this something that Cobalt has done
themselves, or is it a limitation of the kernel itself that Cobalt had no
control over? I have a spare Promise ATA100 controller card that a couple of
my techs and I were going to put into the PCI slot of our test machine. Even
with a seperate controller card will the kernel only see up to 30 gigs of,
for example, an 80 gig hard drive? Has anyone here had any experience with
different drive configurations and have you found any work arounds or
developed a successful kernel update?

Thanks for any help,
Ryan
