Re: [cobalt-users] changing ip number

On Tue, 31 Jul 2001 20:16:01 +0100, Stephane Lucas mumbled something
like:
>>I'm looking to change the IP of the entire raq (including virtual
>>sites), but the raqs' are quite full.

This is part of a post today from the security list, by Michael
Stauber, that addresses this very subject:
"If you switch to new IP adresses there is an easy way to do as
mass change:

Take a look at /etc/named/records. That file is created by the Cobalt
GUI and
lists all your records for all domains. You could use a good editor
with
search and replace function to change the IP adresses. To activate
the
changes just to to the GUI, click on Control Panel, DNS -->
Parameters and
then hit save there and save again when you're back at the Control
Panel.
That will distribute the changes from /etc/named/records to the
appropriate
DNS-files."

Hope that helps!
