Thanks to everyone who replied. Using mail or pine has given me what I
wanted on the mailboxes.
Regarding the maillog, what I am missing from Webmin is the ability to view
the whole file without wrapping lines (you have to scroll sideways of
course, but I think it's much easier to scan the file looking for anomalies
or something specific) and to view, for example, the last 200 lines only...
I don't need statistical analysis at the moment, just a more convenient way
to view it. The command line editors seem a lot of hard work.
Maybe I need to try to write a Perl script to copy the whole maillog into a
.htm file somewhere, which I can then view with a web browser.
PS in answer to Rod's question, yes, I am reading other people's mail, but
it's only work stuff - I have told them all clearly not to use this server
for anything personal. But if I do see anything juicy, rest assured I'll
post it here.
Eddie
