Why type "fi" at the end? I see no "if" statement.
My guess is that it's a typo on your part, but with these things you're
better safe than sorry.
What's wrong with "chkconfig --add sshd", btw? Should be a much cleaner
approach (the rpm *should* do it; grab the rpm from openssh.org).
Personally, I use rc.local "if all else fails". Hmm, it probably has at this
point.
