OK, I'm still quite new to this stuff so treat me gently.
I've just downloaded neomail as I figured it was about time I installed
something other than from a pkg file through the GUI and this seemed
innocuous enough.
It comes as a TAR file. OK, so I FTP that onto my RAQ4, right?
Then I uncompress it, right? I'm assuming that there will be a man command
that tells me how to keep all the directory structure right so that it puts
all the files where they should be.
After that it looks quite easy.
I just wanted to confirm that it's as straightforward as it looks. Is there
anything that I need to look out for? Am I missing something? I have a big
thick Linux book here and I'm not afraid to use it :o) This is a live
system and I just don't want tons of files appearing where I don't want
them.
Any tips, etc gratefully received. I'll try and work out the rest *before*
I come back :o)
Andy
