Hi all,
I was unsure if people who gave me questions to ask Sun/Cobalt last week
got this reponse directly or whether it was just me, a thanks to Fraser for
following up the questions and sending me the responses.
Todd,
Some answers for you from a techie, now don't get to excited, these were
good
questions and some need following up. I have edited some of the answers, and
there
is also a document attached to help with one of the questions. Each answer
begins
and ends with **
shimi [shimi@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
> > "When will an update of Apache 1.3.20+PHP4.0.6+Latest Perl will be
> > released?"
> > - shimi
**So far no response from Cobalt on this one I asked about this as well
about
2 weeks ago and got have had no response, however I do have the rpms for
upgrading
to
Apache 1.3.17 and I will put these into a pkg and we're working on 1.3.20
etc**

**Not difficult really I'll see if I can knock this up over the next week**

**oh shit didn't we do that I hadn't noticed what prats, I'll look into it
( I left
this one as it was, as it seemed just perfect that way.**

**This was because at the time SSL had problems with export - this and
Brosfots solution were ways round that not needed now but we do need SSL
support, I will ask more questions on this**

**I thought this was handled already just call support if its a genuine
we've
screwed up patch problem then we'll fix it. If not let me at them and I'll
give them an internal kicking for being jerks**

**Quite right**
> Any known billing software for the RAQ4R?
**the only billing software I know of are
http://www.solutionroad.com/webhost5.html and
http://www.acnshosting.com/index.php3?lang=en&page=10**

**Not known though we do now have a technote on using it - i've attached
it**

**Yep just give the secondary port a private ip address ie 10.0.0.1 or
192.168.0.1 and the NT server 10.0.0.2 or etc and that should work ( not
tested ) but these ip's aren't routable so the only way anyone could get to
the box would be via telnet**
> What about support on update and patches Sun/Cobalt make in PKG's, where
> do we go or who do we ring in such cases?
**Technical Support - if we screw up they should fix for free ( my view,
hopefully Suns if not CobaltWorld might just have to offer cheap incident
support!!**
