Well, first off you need to back up your access file if you want the
data.  Then you need to log in with - su and change to the
/var/log/httpd directory and delete the access file.  Then issue
the command  "touch access"  This will create a new empty access file.
You should start generating new data.


As far as you mentioning "never installed any patches" I would
be careful what you say on this message board about the state of
your server, because I, along with a few select others, feel that
hackers hover this board looking for post like this.  I should know
they hit me.  Esp. the post about the new patches.  i.e.  .pkg X
does it work yet?  Blam, hacker showes up at the backdoor kicking
it in.  Just be careful.
