Thanks for all your help! The order with Crucial worked like a charm (and it
was reasonably priced). I decided to go for only one stick of 256MB.
Yes, it is important to put the larger module in slot 1, but that was not
the issue, I had tried that.
In case this does not show up properly in the 'by thread' hierarchy, I'd
appreciate if someone could tell me how to make sure it does. I couldn't
find the 'respond to this message' button (neither could I find the manual
for this list, sorry).
