i had a similar problem when i upgraded the ram in our qube2. when i
installed a new 128 mb board into the empty bank next to the factory
installed 16 mb, the system failed to notice it was there at all. when i
tried to blame bad ram from crucial, they suggested i switch the boards
around (put the new ram into the bank where the original ram was and vice
versa). worked like a charm.
i guess the larger ram has to be in the first bank or the system can't see
it.
perhaps this will apply to your situation, perhaps not. either way, good
luck.
mikey.

sometimes it's important to stop and ask yourself:
"how would this look on the police report?"
