Hi All,
I get this error every Sunday:
errors occured while rotating /var/log/samba/log.smb
error running postrotate script
I think that Samba allows Windows machines to see the directory
structure on the cube (at least a part of it -aka Windows File sharing)
and this sounds like a weekly cron job that is trying to rotate these
logs but:
Why are they being rotated (and to where)?
Is this something I should worry about?
I had only switched on Windows file sharing for a short while, months
ago, and then deselected it. So, I don't know why it would be logging.
Any light shed on this would be appreciated. Thanks,
Dan Wagar
