I'm far from a pro in this area but...

	Check for adequate drive space and perhaps check the size of
the mailq. The reason I suggest this is that when sending bulk mail
in this manner, if the mailq fills during the send and you don't
have the right flags (check point interval and others) setup on your
sendmail.cf file, and you don't on the Cobalt's, then the full queue
will cause sendmail to stop and restart and that restart will again
attempt to send the mail that was being sent on the last go around.

	I haven't bumped into this enough to claim any expertise,
and I myself am still learning all the time about the nuances of
running large mailing lists, but based upon my experience the
problem is more than likely on your end. Before saying there is
plenty of space, try bcc'ing a 4 mb message to a hundred people
on a busy server while watching drive space... 4 mb messages are
common on some of the lists we host here.
