Ok, there are two current version out there for BIND right now. The thing I was told is "do BIND 8" for security, but I now see that BIND 9 is out and folks are doing an alpha on 9.2. Is there a reason to do or not do either 8 or 9 on a mips Raq 1==>2
Tell you one thing, BIND has enough security exploits and problems on its "stable" released versions that you couldn't pay me to run a BIND alpha on a production box. Me, I'd stick with the latest stable release of 8. Don't know the state of Cobalt updates for those boxen or how the GUI handles 8.
