Hello everybody
i'd like to log the visitors hostname instead just their IP
Now, on my raq3 I have watched the following folder
---------------------
/etc/httpd/conf/
---------------------
in the file:
---------------------
httpd.conf
---------------------
I've found:
# HostnameLookups: Log the names of clients or just their IP numbers
# e.g. www.apache.org (on) or 204.62.129.132 (off)
# The default is off because it'd be overall better for the net if people
# had to knowingly turn this feature on.
HostnameLookups off
My question is: is it enough to put it On in order to get it working well?
As far as I can see there isn't such kind of option within the raq3 GUI so I
wonder if there are some 'hidden' troubles doing that 'by hands'?
Last but not least, I wonder if I have to modify also the following two
files:
---------------------
httpd.conf.master
httpd.conf.packagesave
---------------------
thanks very much in advance for any suggestion/help about this topic
Giuseppe
