A truly exciting, yet frightening thought.
Communication will be so easy, and like I said, programming will take
on a whole new level.
But imagine the thought control that could go on; imagine the
incredible power a hacker would have if he could tap into your neural
link; imagine suddenly being hooked up to something akin to the Borg;
Big Brother at its best.
Even the most creative, helpful technology can be perverted to suit
the goals of those who would wrest power from the free-minded.
Makes the liberty and freedom-loving bones in my body shake right to
the core.
Reminds me a lot of the "ShadowRun" series of books too, that I used
to read when I was a kid.
