OK, I am almost ready to run. I have a dozen siyes going on this box to
begin. Now come the *important* things.
I will run the box off of a dsl line as a demo host to bring sites into play
as they are developed.
with a static IP to use. Using http://www.discountdomainregistry.com/ (DDR)
as my registrar, where do I begin the propogation process that will bring
the sites online. I can put whatever names's I wish into the database at
DDR, but I am not sure if I should add the primary name for the server
itself. I have 3 private nameservers, and things were supposidly propigated
2 weeks ago, but I still get nada.
a whois request returns the following: (modified for security at this time)
Whois Server Version 1.3
snip
Domain Name: mydomain.COM
Registrar: TUCOWS, INC.
Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: http://www.opensrs.org
Name Server: DNS1.zzzzzzzz.ORG
Name Server: NS.xxxxxxx.NET
Name Server: ccccc.vvvvv.NET
Updated Date: 21-may-2001

the info is correct, as far as it can be, but I get nothing on a ping
request, suggesting the name is not propagated correctly.
Please advise me.
