Re: [cobalt-users] QUbe 3 and email

We recently had an issue where a member of management sent a confidential
email to a group list by mistake. The only way I had of trying to correct
this was to either go into each users account manually on the Qube and
delete the email from the inbox or delete it from their client. Both of
which was time consuming and as a result some staff did view the
confidential email.

Is there an admin tool that would enable me to access all email on the Qube
and delete emails across multiple users.

I've never seen such a thing, on any server. The best thing I could suggest is that (in a few minutes) you could whip up a small script that would go through the mailbox files on the server looking for that one particular message and delete it. You'd have to shut down sendmail and the pop3 daemon temporarily to ensure you didn't have two programs trying to access the file at the same time.

It can be done. But there's no pretty GUI tool I've ever seen to do that.
