Maybe because they are fowarded ??

I dont know if the forwading option will leave a copy on the current mailbox
or simply make a direct link to the second mailbox!!

Try your mail without forwarding enabled, try to send mail to yourself and
see whant happen !! Look for mx record and mail server alias setting.
